With leftover material from wooden floorboards, I have designed a wall panel, which can be combined in different formations, as decoration for walls and vertical surfaces.

I have moved the wooden surface from the floor to the wall wanting to present and highlight the aesthetic qualities of the leftover material.
The markings, structures and colour changes of the wood become a part of the complete pattern created when the panels are put together. By moving the material into eye level, focusing on using the leftover material as effectively as possible, I want the viewer to re-experience the beauty of the wood and emphasize the value of the waste material.

We face a future where scarce resources demand us to look at leftover materials as a valuable resource instead of waste. For me as a designer the new reality is not just a challenge but also a huge source of inspiration.
